"The student and I discussed Chapter 36, which was the skeletal, muscular, and integumentary systems today. We went through all the end of section quizzes and her homework, and I think she understands the material very well."
"I taught her HNMR and we practiced using HNMR readouts to determine the structure of molecules. She can see each piece separately, but has a hard time putting them together to create the final molecule. When I show her how, she seems to understand each step, but will need practice on her own to master the skills."
"The student and I started with lesson one on the new book today. Although she recognized most of the characters on this lesson, she needed practice writing and pronouncing them properly. So I focused on her pronunciation and writing. I assigned her lesson one in the workbook."
"Today we reviewed her homework and did practice problems. We discussed two step word problems, as well as identifying what information she needs to solve the problem. We also worked on multiplying two digit numbers."
"We went over the Math section she had for homework, covered writing the essay and outlines, and practiced a bit more English. She's doing much better and feeling more confident - can't wait to see the results this weekend!"
"We did the review and worked through the worksheet of chapter 12. I'm glad to hear that the student feels much more confident with the subject now."
"Worked with the student on basic conversational phrases that she would encounter with her Chinese colleagues, and phrases used to make basic suggestions."
"Today we introduced and reviewed the most useful Chinese phrases. We then reviewed Chinese names and the student began to read her book on China."
"We reviewed Chinese Pinyin again, and it seems like she knows it all now, but I'm still going to practice it with her. I also reviewed things like mom, dad, water, animal words, etc. I taught her more animal words and body parts. Her pronunciation is really impressive, and she's a quick learner. We played games in order to keep her focused and interested."
"We did a review of some of the introductory words since we haven't talked about Mandarin in a while. She did a good job of remembering a lot of the words."
"I quizzed the student on the vocabulary from lesson one, dialogue one, and we then conversed in Chinese briefly. We then worked through lesson two, dialogue one and went over some grammar points."
"Today we worked on places (store, park, school) and home vocab. We also did character writing practice. We finished with the review game "Chinese Baseball"."
