Orange, CA LSAT tutoring
The student and I first focused on working on some harder logic games, as he stated he is struggling with the last, often hardest game in the section in his practice. I walked him through the setup for three different games, and helped him to find the correct answers through deductions. We reviewed the basic strategy and advanced strategy to help him solve these question types. At the end of the session, we worked through a practice logical reasoning section. His accuracy was quite high, and his pacing is well ahead of pace. We discussed the few questions he missed in detail, and I helped him understand the correct answer.

The student had just started his first week at his prep course, so we went over his homework for Chapter 1 together. We started with logic games for the first half of the session and then moved on to logical reasoning for the second half. We are going to stay with the 1:1 correspondence/basic sequencing games for at least 2 weeks so he can fully understand the basics and master this type of game. That will allow him to move through this game type extremely quickly on test day and leave him with ~10 minutes per game for the more challenging games.

LR and RC are a bigger question, and the first prep test should shed some light on where we need to focus going forward. Homework is the prep test under test conditions and some basic linear balanced logic games from the worksheet.
