How can Calculus tutoring help you succeed?

Calculus is a practical branch of math that is used for studying change, and is implemented in physical sciences, computer sciences, economics, medicine, and many other areas. Literally meaning "small pebble used for counting" in Latin, calculus is an important subject that may be quite challenging to understand. Many students don't receive the educational attention that they may need for learning the subject, and once you've fallen behind in calculus it may be very difficult to catch back up. Having a personal tutor is a remedy to this, and you might find yourself amazed at just how much your grades could improve after working with someone who is committed to seeing you learn. The educational directors at Varsity Tutors may connect you with tutors in Omaha who are skilled at helping students prepare for calculus. Stop worrying about not being as proficient at the subject as you'd like, and take your education into your own hands.

Making extra time for any commitment may be overwhelming for a busy student, and the prospect of connecting with a private instructor may seem a tad unrealistic. Fortunately, your expert calculus tutor in Omaha, NE, may help you work to reach your maximum potential at a time that works for your agenda. Your tutor may meet you when it's convenient for you - days, evenings, or weekends. You may have your tutor meet you at a place that is part of your daily routine, which may be at your home, on your campus, or even at a nearby park. If you're too busy to meet in person you may always utilize the face-to-face online learning platform, which allows you to schedule a lesson from anywhere with Internet.

The student has now been introduced to log based functions. So I gave a quick lecture on what the log and natural log function means, what its derivative is, what the constant e comes from, and how to integrate it. Then, we practice several problems on the board that combined taking the derivative of the natural log function using the chain rule. The concepts are new to her, but she is picking them up well.

The student and I discussed several problems on her practice test, in particular how to determine if a limit exists, and how to find a function that satisfies specific properties. We discussed some quirks of mathematical notation like -x^2 and how it is different than (-x)^2. We also discussed how to handle absolute value in limits.

The student has a very strong understanding of algebra, and will become very comfortable with her subject matter soon. After we briefly reviewed the subject matter, she was able to solve problems on her own. She was a bit behind with some memorization of rules, but it seems that the class has shot through a variety of subjects in the past few weeks, and with some more practice, I think she will be well caught up and ready to handle derivatives. As long as she ensures to learn the limit rules and the graphing rules for polynomials, she will be well able to handle the current material.

We worked on computing derivatives that require the use of chain rule. We broke the problem down into steps, starting by identifying the outside function. Then we would assign each as g (x) or f (u) and find their respective derivatives. We would then compile the parts into the final answer. She is doing well with product, power, and quotient rule. She needs more practice with the chain rule. I also made her a set of flashcards that cover each of the various trig functions and their derivatives.
