Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We prepared for the student's big Geometry test tomorrow. Lots of proofs, congruence problems, proportions, etc. We'll continue to meet once a week. This was an extra long session to get ready for her test."
"We had a very successful session starting chapter 10. After class today, the student felt uncomfortable with 10.1 material, properties of circles. Once we worked on the material together, the student began working fast and successfully. The latter half of the session we moved into 10.2, which he really enjoyed and excelled at. We planned another session this week prior to a quiz that the student has Friday."
"Today we just caught up to get a sense of what the student is working on in her geometry class right now and what they've covered so far. We went over some recent quizzes and discussed the prompts where there was any difficulty and then she did her homework and we also went ahead to the next couple sections so that she'd have a head start on understanding of the material."
"We reviewed concepts in Geometry involving circles, tangents, secants, and chords. We applied theorem involving the length of two intersecting chords or two intersecting secants/tangents. We applied these concepts to a review sheet as well as additional practice problem in the textbook."
"The student advised me that he received a 95% on his last test! We completed the even numbers in the chapter three review. I noticed and corrected the problem subjects he was having. Mainly, they were with graphing, slope-intercept, point-slope form. So I had him complete chapter 3-6 which focused on this, then we completed the odd numbers in the chapter three review without consequence. I don't foresee any problems for him."
"The student and I worked on his test review and completed extra review problems in his geometry book. We discussed about quadrilaterals and finding variable X when given certain conditions."
