Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, the student and I had a review for final. He then retested his test with the lowest grade and increased his score by over 30 percentage points!"
"During this session, we prepped for his geometry final. He is currently doing very well and understands material exponentially better than when we starting three months ago."
"Today the student and I had a midterm review. He answered problems provided by his teacher. We hope to meet again this week before the exam."
"Today we spent our whole session working on rotation. We began with rotation on a Cartesian plane, getting the concept of rotation about a point made clear which was the main hurdle. Then we moved on to shapes and rotation, and we talked about facing and he seemed to understand just fine. By the end, he was doing the problems almost without any assistance. He got a quiz back, a high B, a definite improvement over the mid C he had on the last quiz, so we are seeing a marked improvement"
"In today's session, after an introduction, we went over quadratics. We discussed how to find zeros, vertex, and y-intercept of a function. We discussed other characteristics with quadratic functions. The main goal for this session was to review material for a test that she will be taking tomorrow. I feel that she is ready for her test. I asked if she felt confident enough, which she did. I assigned other practice problems for her to work on in her study hall."
"In this session, we covered naming arcs and angles formed by arcs, graphing circles and writing their equations, and solving for measure of arcs. We also worked on lines that were tangent to the circle (both solving for their equations and determining if they were tangent based on given side lengths). The student seems to understand this concept pretty well."
