Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we went over the answers to the verbal section that the student did a practice test of last time, focusing on the analogy questions. These were some really difficult vocab questions and I think he did well, so with a little practice in the strategy for these analogies, I think he'll perform really well on this section."
"We began our session on Saturday reviewing the student's SSAT scores. She shares that she ran out of time with reading section. The focus of our session was in question/answer relationships, P.O.E. and critical thinking and processing. We finished the session with a small diagnostic. This allowed me to identify several areas of concern for our next session: words in context, main idea and inference. For homework she has several practice drills and will complete a full timed diagnostic before our next session."
"We covered the remaining analogies drills, Drills 2-5 in the review book. We also talked over the essay and did diagrams for brainstorming for the essay. We also did the first drill on fractions and decimals. She is to continue her vocabulary review, take a diagnostic if she can, and review the material we have covered thus far with practice problems."
