Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Went over parallel and series circuits and the different concepts that apply to each situation. Also reviewed how to find current, voltage and resistance in each."
"Today we covered forces and acceleration, and we also calculated force components and directions. The student then completed her latest homework assignment."
"In chemistry, we spent some time discussing inter-molecular forces. We then moved on to physics, where we covered circular motion and gravitation."
"In geometry, we talked about how changing the dimensions of a figure affects its perimeter and area. In biology, we talked about different domains and kingdoms, and the key characteristics that classify each organism inside those domains/kingdoms. Then we finished the student's unit review."
"The student was working with scientific notation and with the relationship between wavelength, frequency, and period for light waves in this session. We were able to get a routine down for doing those sorts of problems."
"The student and I looked at the harmonics of strings and the relationship among frequency, wavelength, and velocity. We went over several problems related to the topics he was going to be tested on and also ran through a couple of concepts for his algebra 2 class, namely completing the square, especially as it relates to conic sections. We concentrated especially on these topics, as he was going to be tested on them, although I have some anticipation of complexity as he gets further in the topic on conic sections."
