Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered some basic assembly instructions that correlate to c-code. This includes how the pointer works in assembly, the load register command, and the store register command. I left the student to practice the problems that he struggled with on his recent quiz. He seemed overall more encouraged today than he has in the past, so that is a win."
"Today we reviewed for his Chem final. We talked about molarity, acid base reactions, pH, and balancing."
"We spent the entire session covering an end of year project that the student needs to complete by Monday. We discussed how to lay out the project, what should be included, how to calculate the specific values required by the teacher, and how to write the discussion portions. We covered the rubric step by step, and I encouraged her to send me the finished project so that I could review it prior to her turning it in on Monday. I let her know that I would communicate if it looked complete or might need some additional work based on the project description and our discussion tonight."
"We finished reviewing for the student's finals. We also worked on an extra assignment for reactor design. This problem was fairly involved and complicated, dealing with safety in runaway reactions. He will finish up the problem on his own."
"Today we worked on a review of the student's chemistry homework. They are currently doing redox reactions. There has been some question on what her teacher is looking for exactly. The student is meeting with her on Wednesday to go over some of her questions for her presentation. She is also going to ask about some of the questions we weren't sure what the teacher was looking for answer-wise."
"We reviewed fatty acid synthesis and degradation. We used many online resources to confirm our answers and learn more about the topics. The student is great to work with, and is always highly knowledgeable and motivated."
