Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We continued to review all information, including z-tests and t-tests, in preparation for the student's upcoming midterm."
"Final preparation for midterm exam. Reviewed work and formulating force equations from word problems. Separable differential equations and using initial values."
"Today we looked at the first quiz the student had taken in her new math class. We identified that we need to review writing linear equations, since that was so briefly covered in her previous class."
"We covered trig functions (problems), graphing sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, cot, and word problems regarding trig. The student was struggling most with consistently solving problems correctly, but he was open to learning strategies to solve problems. I will bring more practice tomorrow to our next session. He got a 90% on his last quiz but wants to improve."
"We have talked about imaginary numbers, triangles, trigonometry functions and conversion between degree and radian. The student understood very well. She was full of energy and wanted to learn. The student made a progress and did well on her last exam. The session was a win session."
"The student told me he was struggling in precalculus class. He had been performing well on homework and quizzes, but he says the tests are not commensurate with what is happening in class. He was working on logarithmic and exponential equations, and solving application problems on these two topics. He was very fluid on how he solved his logarithmic equations, only struggling slightly when he was solving a quadratic equation that did not have one as a leading coefficient. We also covered RATEY, an area which he struggled on with rational functions and we talked about RATEY concerning logarithmic equations."
