"Today we did more work with polynomials, more specifically multiplying and then simplifying. The student understands the concept well and can do the individual parts of the problems. We discussed the importance of working through the problems in a systematic fashion writing out all of the steps."
"The student had a quiz coming up in proofs and identities, so we worked about 10 problems starting with me working a few and ending with him working independently."
"Today we got ahead of the student's math work by working on the next chapter. He is coming along very well."
"We went over solving formulas through using roots and the quadratic equation. We also went over graphing different equations both on graphing paper and in the calculator. The student learned some new tricks to check her work as well on the calculator."
"We covered the binomial theorem, permutations/ combinations, geometric/ arithmetic/ recursive sequences. The most challenge aspect of the material for the student seemed to be understand the relationships and patterns within a given type of sequence. She really liked permutations/ combinations because she said she was comfortable with them. She was positive about the rest, it just took a little bit longer to review the topics because she wasn't as familiar with them."
"We continued to cover the topics of study that the student had for his algebra class, involving the principles of statistics and probability. The student did great!"
