Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, we covered random variables, the binomial distribution, and the Poisson distribution. We worked through the student's homework for most of the time today. He seems to be understanding most of the subjects and has been keeping up with the class since it has started."
"Tutor and student started working on probabilities this session. Tutor assisted student in working through homework problems assigned on the probability material she has gone over in class this past week. Student seemed to grasp the content, but struggled with determining some of the probabilities (especially cards). Student will reach out to Tutor with any other questions between now and next session and will contact Tutor to schedule a time to meet next week."
"We covered concepts about the Venn diagram circles. We covered a major formula for populations and translating this data to results. The student has been making progress on these topics, and I feel like our practice is really meaningful. I can see that she is trying really hard, and pushing her best as a student, and we've been making a lot of good progress in the course."
"We covered confidence intervals and Z-scores as well as the underlying logic of group comparison through a practice quiz from the student's class. We made good progress and we will pick up with related topics in our next session"
"We covered confidence intervals in this session. We also worked on drawing boxplots. She has a quiz due Sunday so we've been working on material for that. She has the rest of the quiz as well as her homework to continue thinking about until our next session."
"We covered continuous and discrete probabilities. These include the uniform and normal distributions, and the binomial distribution. We also worked through several problems using the R programming language. The student followed the material and demonstrated a strong understanding of the material."
