Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Went back to the beginning of the course to see where she might have some holes in her understanding. Worked on her algebra 2 and graphing of different functions."
"Completed homework assignment for section covering the Pythagorean theorem, which the student will be tested on Thursday. She has a good understanding of the concept."
"The student and I reviewed problems dealing with rhombuses, squares, rectangles and circles. With a little more practice, I feel the student will be able to solve all the problems on her own."
"The student worked on homework covering circles, the standard form of a circle equation, and circles with centers of the origin. He also reviewed the constant acceleration equations, free fall, and quadratic equations, in particular maximization of area and volume problems."
"The student and I got to go through some of his tests from his year in geometry so far, and discuss what he does know, as well as the nature of his mistakes up to this point. We went over some concepts including how 3 points can determine a unique plane and using systems of equations to determine the measure of angles. During our next meeting we're going to start tackling proofs and all the skills needed to ace proof on a test."
"In today's session, we worked on several topics the student learned throughout the week, mostly working on areas of figures. We specifically focused on inscribed polygons in circles, scale factors for area, and areas of abnormally shaped figures. She really seemed to understand this material once we were able to go through it one on one."
