Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed her homework and focused on areas in her homework where she had questions. We reviewed interval and set notation specifically with regards to inclusion and non-inclusion notation. We also focused on word problems and how to create an equation from the given information."
"We covered quadratic equation graphing and then did some composite functions homework. We also did some problems in physics involving kinematics."
"We covered problems on systems of equations and systems of inequalities. We worked examples involving graphing of systems of both inequalities and equalities."
"The student and I worked on tetrahedrals. We discussed different types, solve for angles, and found diagonals."
"We worked on adding and subtracting rational functions using problems from the textbook. At first, the student multiplied expressions but then got stuck trying to simplify them. I explained that she should leave her numerators and denominators completely factored as it would make cancelling and simplifying expressions much easier in the end. The student caught on to this, and it reduced a lot of the trouble she was having, especially when she cancelled expressions as much as possible throughout the solution. Huge improvements were made from start to finish, from factoring correctly and multiplying to get common denominators, to adding and subtracting correctly and simplifying efficiently."
"We went over a few worksheets on matrices. They involved adding, subtracting, and multiplying matrices. The student was at first having a bit of trouble with multiplication, but he was doing it a lot better by the end of the session. I recommended that he continue to practice, and we'll review some more as well. Good effort tonight."
