"Tonight we went over the full length practice test the student took last week. She got a 25 composite score, which is a huge improvement from the first practice test she took. She seems very confident in her ability and feels well prepared to take the test."
"The student brought the details of his SAT, and we discussed the results and options for the future. We reviewed the criminal justice paper that is due April 15."
"We covered Chapter 6 (fractions and polynomials). We also covered her homework and setting up word problems, reviewed her previous exam, and re-worked missed problems on homework and her quiz to ensure she knew the concepts."
"We had a big review day. He starts school this week so I wanted to try and review most of the stuff that we've worked on all summer to make sure he's ready for Spanish II."
"We started and ended working with the gas laws. We worked with Boyle's law and Charles' law and the combined gas law and looked at how we can arrive at them using the ideal gas law. We also spent some time looking at what were the possible units that we can use for pressure, temperature, and volume, that you only can use absolute temperature (K) for temperature but for the other ones it does not matter so long as both sides of the equations are using the same units and why this is true. We then spent some time on hybridization and when there are more than four electron pairs around a central atom how to do the hybridization for that (move into the d orbital.) We ended with gas laws again and talked about vapor pressure and using the right units with the gas constant."
