Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student is quick to pick up on the technical part of Spanish. I gave him vocabulary words to work on for homework during this session. We also worked on greetings in Spanish during this session, most of which he had a brief understanding of prior to the session."
"The student needed guidance on how to write a paragraph about musical preferences using the terms and expressions from the program he is following. We practiced writing several reviews on music, movies and books. We also went through adjectives that could help him compare two movies. He is a great learner!"
"The student needed support in order to complete his final test of accelerated Spanish at college as a requirement for his master's degree."
"The student practiced conversation today. He did a great job speaking Spanish. We talked about his favorite movie, his vacation in Greece and Albania, and the city where he currently lives. His pronunciation is very good, he just needs to remember that the Spanish "D" sounds like the "TH" in English. I also briefly explained about the uses of indirect and direct object pronouns (we use them to replace the nouns already mentioned). Keep up with that great work!"
"The student reached outside of his comfort zone and practiced his Spanish with friends and family. Because of this, he seemed more confident and did well experimenting and asking questions. We learned about conjugating -er, -ar, and -ir verb forms. We also covered some new verbs and sentence structures. He is doing a great job. If he continues to practice outside of sessions, pretty soon, he won't need these sessions!"
"The student retains very well her pronunciation and understanding of spoken Spanish. She deducts very well those terms she does not really remember. It would be good for her growth in the language to engage in conversations and more frequent sessions."
