Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In this meeting, the student and I explored confidence intervals. Using sample data to extract data about a population was the focus of the session. We covered both proportion and mean confidence intervals which included working with z scored and t scores. Overall she grasped the concepts quickly and I am confident in her ability to perform in this area."
"Quiz preparation included work with z-scores, normal distribution, and IQR. The student is encouraged and open to drawing a bell curve for greater clarity. She submitted more practice problems for review leading up to next session."
"Reviewed central tendency of data distribution; calculation of sample variance; standard deviation; and mean, median, and mode. Discussed interquartile range."
"Reviewed for exam. Made probability tree for series of binomial events and calculated probabilities. Identified and calculated combinations and permutations. Computed compound binomial probability intervals with repeated use of formula. Found normal probabilities by converting to standard normal and using z-table."
"The client wanted help preparing for his final exam. He had to work through 30 questions. After we finished with that, he did two full chapters of homework, so he would be sure to pass his class. He was able to get his average up to a passing level. We covered topics ranging from hypothesis testing to confidence intervals, and other basic statistical topics."
"The student and I addressed specific questions they had from a homework assignment. I walked them through how to approach each problem, and find the answer. I explained how to determine which test is appropriate based on the information provided. They were receptive to feedback. I allowed the student to move forward with the problems independently."
