For the first half of the session, I worked with the first student on Biology, covering photosynthesis and ATP production cycles. She still had a little trouble at the end, mixing up certain portions of the cycles with each other, but she's improving. During the second half of the session, I worked with the second student, finishing the second half of his Calculus exam study guide. He worked most of the problems well, and had fixed some of the troubles he was having the day before with the material.

We continued working on vocabulary in the 6th lesson, section 1 which includes more words and verbs about the house as well as words about parties. I gave him a worksheet to fill out with the verbs he has been working with recently.

We started working on the student's SAT prep this week, focusing on the verbal section. She did two practice tests. We also looked at vocabulary words and talked about what she can do to prepare.

Today we looked at math tests on a practice website. He took a couple of them and did well. We had a chance to review some different math concepts like set notation and had a long discussion of area and perimeter which we will continue to look into tomorrow.

The student practiced more speaking about families and learned how to say "my" and "your" so that he could start describing his own family. We practiced conjugated verbs in sentences and did some conversation at the end, and it went very well. We will do more discussion next week to practice using the verbs in context.
