Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over the definition of the inverse of a function and solved for the inverse of functions. We also found the domain and range of functions and of the inverse of functions. Discussed one to one functions and how to find if the inverse of a function is a function."
"Worked on math homework: exponents, order of operations Reviewed and learned new multiplication facts"
"The student's teacher had given him 4 problems to help him gain a better understanding. He worked all of these with ease. We went over a few more examples from the book, and then I gave him a brief introduction to the next section on absolute value inequalities. The next chapter in the book is on functions and relations."
"Today, the student and I worked on reviewing for her final exam. We worked through several different topics, that included differentiation, integration, finding the secant and tangent line, and finding the area between two curves. We then discussed study methods that she can use over the next few days to prepare for the exam. She got a B+ on her previous exam, FANTASTIC JOB!!!!"
"We began to study integration and antiderivation. He picked up on it incredibly quickly, however he does struggle with exponential functions which is what we will be working on. I have shown him some tricks to remember how to do sums and he does those very well."
"During this session the student and I started preparing for the final exam. We specifically looked at examples of problems concerning u-substitution. We did numerous several examples. We started by walking through some problems together then the student did several problems on his own. We did examples in which constraints were present and not present. The student expressed a much better understanding of the material, and we discussed what else he should be studying for his final."
