Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over 25 problems using the adaptive test prep on Cengage. The student understood most of the concepts. Therefore, we worked on the student's previous homework assignments as practice. I gave him a lot of independence in working through the problems, and I noticed a lot of progress on his part. We will meet later today."
"We spent a lot of time reviewing the math underlying some unusual IS-LM curve models. The math frameworks described some policy situations that the US might have actually experienced (briefly even). The student is pretty good about following the work and likes to really understand the implications of things, so I imagine he is doing well and simply needs to continue to work through these problems."
"We went over topics of confusion from the first three weeks of the students' class and did practice problems on price elasticity of demand. We worked on applying the correct formula for each problem and defining the variables from info given in word problems. They are working on creating a study guide for their final, so we are working through the course material chronologically. We decided that the best strategy for them to study is to work through many problems step-by-step until they feel comfortable applying the concepts to numbers."
"We worked on homework assignment number three. We worked through all the problems. We hit on Questions three and four and will finalize the responses at our next session. Additionally, I will send all screenshots to the student of Questions 1 and 2 so that he can finalize/double-check his work. Tomorrow we will put together/finalize the assignment. He will take a picture of his work for Questions 1 and 2 and will finalize the verbiage for Questions 3 and 4. We worked through everything at a great pace and we have the luxury of reviewing everything one more time. He will be able to submit the assignment a day early!!"
"We worked on looking at his professor's comments to his class on the paper for Module 3 (he received an 85 on both the Module 2 and Module 3 papers). He chose some points in his outline for his Module 4 paper to find sources to support. We then worked through the first page of his midterm review for his microeconomic theory course. We will have another session tonight to work on the review and paper."
"We worked on the final which covered the last four units. We were able to find the method for solving all the questions and subparts. This will conclude his sessions, but the student was kind enough to say he will use me in the future and would give referrals."
