"The student and I went over her previous quiz, and the mistakes she made are easily fixable. We then covered problems that she worked on in class. We spent a good portion going over piecewise function and how to write a piecewise from a word problem."
"The student and I went over her review for chapter two in her Statistics book. We covered z-scores (what they mean and how to use them), transforming data, and assessing normality of data. We talked about indicators for what the questions wants; i.e. usually a question will use the z-score if mean, x, and standard deviation is given. She was positive towards the material and seemed to grasp concepts really well. She knew how to use transformation and how to find z-scores."
"The student and I went over his assignment problems that are about solving a system of equations by graphing, substitution and elimination. We first went over graphing, since that is what he knows how to do, and understood the concept that the solution is the intersection point of the two equations of the line. Then I went through two examples with him, one by substitution and one by elimination, since he wasn't able to go to class that day. Once we had gone through and established steps for the procedure, I had him do some examples while guiding him along the way. Then he did two examples on his own. He understood the concept and was able to do both methods on his own. "
"The student and I went over his first homework and quiz. Special techniques and methods specifically related to thermodynamics were reviewed (Maxwell relations)."
"The student and I went over his homework, which involved spiral review of place value, multi-digit subtraction and multiplication. He did practice problems involving multi-digit multiplication, as he said that was what he was working on in class. He read a leveled reader aloud, and he answered comprehension questions for the remainder of the time."
"The student and I went over his math homework and began preparing for his math test. I gave him a quiz, and he did extremely well on it. He needs to make sure that he is reading over questions carefully and paying attention to what is being asked as well as smaller details such as negatives."
