Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student completed his homework on cellular respiration using his notes and book to answer the questions. Improving class notes is something we will work on. We spent the next hour reviewing for his history exam on ancient Greece. He was already well-prepared so we used his book to complete a worksheet. I quizzed him verbally on all of his teacher's review PowerPoints since he said simply reviewing the PowerPoints has helped him get A's in the past."
"We moved on to chapter 11. Reviewed ratios and cross multiplication. Focused most of the time on learning how to solve quadratic polynomials through factoring. With the other student we moved on to chapter 7. Reviewed how to factor and finding greatest common factor for numbers and algebraic terms. Spent most of the time on factoring polynomials by grouping."
"We worked on math review. The student has a midterm this week. She had a study sheet with terms, so we defined as many as possible, including drawing examples. She was given information for how to continue to prepare her own study guide."
"The student and I reviewed the homework I left for him last time. I then covered a broad review of English grammar, highlighting things we'd already covered and extending the student's knowledge to test concepts like verb agreement and parallelism."
"This tutoring session consisted of learning sight words and working on short vowel sounds. The student is making progress with remembering some of the pre primer sight words. He is also making progress with his short vowel sounds."
"In today's class the student and I kept on learning from the textbook. We learned the tones, how to say numbers, strokes, and how to write numbers. He loves the new textbook, and I like how this book is very comprehensive."
