Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we started by going over an activity the student did on her own from her workbook. It was on -AR verbs, and she did it correctly. We then finished an activity that we started in the last session. This one was about plural forms of adjectives. After that, we went on to learn a new stem changing verb "preferir" - to prefer and some new food related vocabulary. This was followed by an activity that had her answering questions about which foods and drinks are better for maintaining good health. At the end of the session, we reviewed previous material such as the Spanish alphabet, days, months, seasons, and numbers. We will continue practicing with verb conjugation and vocabulary."
"Today we continued reviewing everything we covered for the past three weeks. Students are happy to be reviewing the material and getting more engaged in conversations using vocabulary already learned. Students left with notes for further review."
"On Wednesday, we continued to work on condicional and futuro tenses as we corrected the student's homework. We then moved on to working on "ser." I had him conjugate "ser" in 5 different tenses and create his own sentence with "ser." We then discussed the different reasons we use "ser" (describing physical appearance, permanent situations, relationships, occupations, to tell time, etc.). He then completed a few exercises using "ser." His homework is to complete conjugations of the condicional, to finish exercises using "ser," and to write a summary of a article with 5 verb conjugations."
