Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we worked on same side interior angles, alternate interior angles, corresponding angles, alternate exterior angles, and proving theorems."
"The student did her homework on equidistance theorems and began learning about parallel and perpendicular theorems."
"The student has an upcoming test. We reviewed her notes and homework. She stated that she feels prepared for her exam."
"Today we reviewed the vocabulary relevant to angles (same-side interior/ exterior, alternate interior/ exterior, corresponding, vertical, linear, etc.). We spent a majority of the time reviewing the notes posted by his teacher, and taking notes on them."
"The student is using the Pythagorean Theorem with diagonals of rectangles, squares, rhombuses, etc. He is having a slightly hard time differentiating between the different rules and knowing which go with what. We went over them together, and his homework involved several practice problems for each, to enforce the concepts. During his homework session, I noticed he had some trouble with fractions. As such, after we finished the assignment, I went over rules for fractions, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing mixed numbers and improper fractions and the concepts behind them. I had him do a few practice problems with these, as well, and will check on reinforcing it next week."
"The student and I wrapped up his initial ACT Math review tonight, going over his practice assignment and taking a first look at sequences and matrices. It was his first look at the ACT Math; I've given more practice for our next test prep session in three weeks."
