Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed topics and equations about gases including PV=nRT, Boyle's Law, partial pressures, and pressure conversions. We essentially did more practice on the material we covered in his previous session to prepare for his final exam. The student seemed to understand gases and he was able to complete all the problems without much assistance. He was left with practice problems in the book to reinforce his skills. He scored an 84% percent on his previous exam, noting that he showed immense improvement compared to his first two exams."
"Topics covered: molar mass, limiting reactants, percent composition, empirical formulas, reviewed old test questions and discussed how to cope with pretest/testing anxieties. I left her with notes and two worksheets on limiting reactants."
"Today was a review session for the semester final. We reviewed old homework and study guides in preparation for upcoming tests. Study topics included nuclear chemistry, IUPAC naming, Lewis dot structures, VSEPR model, filing electron shells, electronegativity, and periodic table trends."
