Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over the student's summer statistics packet. She made a good amount of progress and proved to be proficient with this material."
"The student had completed her homework on her own, having only a few questions from the homework set to go over. The questions covered derivatives, using the chain rule to find the derivative of a composite function and the quotient rule to find the derivative of a rational function. We also looked at problems involving derivatives of trigonometric functions. Finally, she worked on several homework questions that involved finding the tangent lines to a certain graph that had a certain slope or went through a certain point on the graph. We also looked at graphs of functions, how the graph of the derivative relates to the graph of the original functions in particular the parts of the original functions that are increasing/ decreasing, and also the second derivative."
"We continued our discussion of exponential growth, and covered the radioactive decay problem as well."
"Today the student and I worked on trig identities . We focused on the steps to take when solving these identities."
"The student and I worked through book work she had over basic ideas about vector spaces and which types of linear systems of equations have solutions."
"In today's session, the student and I worked on problems involving piecewise-defined functions. Topics covered included graphing piecewise functions, determining functions from a given graph, and producing piecewise functions from word problems."
