"The student received a 91 on his last homework. We went over regression analysis in Excel and he worked on his 3rd homework assignment."
"The student and I worked on solving quadratic equations, completing the square method, quadratic formula, and radical functions and expressions. We identified the significance of checking solutions which was an important win."
"In today's session, we worked through some practice problems involving finding areas between functions, and finding the volume of various solids of rotation. I also explained the conceptual meaning of the thin disc/ washer technique of calculation volumes."
"We covered mirror images about x and y axes as well as about y=x diagonal in math and laws of motion in physics."
"The student and I prepared for an upcoming exam in calculus. We reviewed limits and continuity, answered questions, and addressed issues from her study guide. She felt confident about her performance in the test."
"Today we reviewed factoring and simplifying complex polynomial fractions. The student struggled with some of the material, but once we reviewed it, she started to show more confidence. One of the big things we did today was talk about her goals for our continued tutoring. I want to get a syllabus from her current class and the potential honors class and work on things she is struggling with in the current class and making sure she is covering information in the honors class so that she can move up at some point in the year. These plans will be more formulated once the school year starts this week and we see the class plan."
