Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We are reviewing for the student's test on Thursday. We covered some fluid problems then spent a lot of time on rotational dynamics and a little work on torque and conservation of angular momentum. She doesn't seem to be struggling with much besides setting up problems correctly and familiarity with the equations. I get the feeling she doesn't know what to do since she is so unfamiliar with the equations. We did some advanced problems today and I left her with an advanced torque/ angular momentum problems."
"Today's session was used to discuss the pentose phosphate pathway as well as the structure and functions of nucleic acids. We took an in depth look at the oxidative phase which creates NADPH. We finished the session by reviewing the student's DNA homework. I feel that she had a good grip on the pentose phosphate pathway, as it is very similar to what we covered on the last test. I do wish to review DNA and RNA one more time to make sure their structure and function are well understood. We plan to meet Thursday in order to cover glycogenesis and glycogenolysis."
"We covered two dimensional motion, meaning things like projecting objects into the air or off of cliffs. She didn't seem to be struggling with much. She seemed to grasp gravity affecting vertical motion, but not horizontal motion, which is the majority of the difficulty in these types of questions. I just helped her attack problems when she couldn't figure out how to start them."
