Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on the words: caminar, correr, jugar, and pintar. We practiced the multiples of 10, etc.(20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100). We drilled these for a while. We briefly started learning the seasons."
"We were practicing the numbers from 20 to 59. She was doing great, she corrected herself every time which is excellent. I left her extra practice: to review the numbers from 11 to 19."
"Today we focused mostly on speaking. We did a lot of talking and went through new vocabulary words. At the end we practiced with less familiar phrases in Spanish and jotted those down too. It was a good lesson."
"Today, we focused on converting complex sentences with adjectives and locations and saying "with." We also created sentences comparing like and dislike. The student did a great job converting sentences as well as translating the complex sentences. Towards the end of the session, we focused on using "iru" to say "staying" (i.e., I like staying at~)."
"We practiced conversation today. We practiced it with several scenarios the student will encounter when the student goes to Japan - at a restaurant, subway, hotel, at a store to purchase an item, etc. He did very well in listening, comprehension, and speaking. He has highly advanced skills for all levels. I am very confident that he will be traveling Japan with a great understanding of not just cultures, but also conversation with native Japanese people. Good luck and have a fun trip!"
"Today the student and I reviewed two fundamental verbs in German - haben (to have) and sein (to be). I created many examples for her to fill in using the correctly conjugated form of first 'haben' and then 'sein' with the appropriate pronouns. Our next session will be on Wednesday."
