"The student and I reviewed her learning objectives for chapter 6 on protein structure. We also went over many of her assigned homework problems from the textbook. Overall I think she is grasping the material well and is very receptive to new concepts. Again, I really tried to emphasize the thermodynamic aspects of what is controlling the behavior of proteins and their interactions. I think she is understanding how important this approach is. I also really encouraged her to know all of the properties of the 20 amino acids for success on her upcoming exam."
"The student and I reviewed her test from last week, and went problem-by-problem, to determine where issues occurred. Most problems seemed to have just been arithmetic mistakes from rushing through. I also did a small introduction to work and energy to give a boost to her current work."
"The student and I reviewed kinematics and vectors. The kinematics questions were similar to what we spoke of last time. He and I brushed up on these topics. We then reviewed vectors, and he seemed to absorb a lot on that matter. We practiced drawing vectors and expressing the magnitude. He has some review to do before his test next week, but he already is in good standings for it."
"The student and I reviewed material for her upcoming test on thermochemistry and gas laws. Among the concepts we reviewed are the following: -heat lost = heat gain; PV=nRT is an equation to think about for most gas law problems; remember that heat of formation can only be used at 1atm and 298K; and *the thought process for the final review problem we looked at involving Dalton's Law of Partial Pressures*. Good luck on the test!"
"The student and I reviewed missed test questions from the last precalculus test before moving on to her redox review packet. We got through about half the packet covering oxidation numbers, balancing redox reactions, and determining what is oxidized and what is reduced."
"The student and I reviewed practice problem sets from his physics class, which all covered velocity and acceleration calculations. His math skills are superb, and he completed almost all the problems with little guidance from me. I have emailed his mom to let her know this."
