"We worked on Chapter 6 Section 6: Solving Two Step Equations with Absolute Values. We worked from the textbook pg. 401 and did even problems. Common mistake was to forget to flip the inequality when getting the negative answer of the absolute value. Caught on towards the end."
"We covered plotting parabolas (functions like f(x) = x^2) and identifying vertices, axes of symmetry, and maxima/minima."
"Worked on math homework covering the translation of word problems to algebraic equations, and the solving of algebraic equations using multiplication and division."
"The student needed help with simplifying radicals. We spent time reviewing the concepts between simplifying and multiplying and simplifying and adding. Then we continued to practice the concepts on his homework and other assignments. Towards the end of the session, he seemed to be getting more comfortable with the subject"
"During our session we did mixed review and covered complementary and supplementary angles, angles in a triangle, and solving word problems involving these topics."
"The student is doing very well. She is getting a lot faster at some of the basics that she needs to succeed. She has most of the major concepts and we're working on the ones where she can improve. We're starting to concentrate on the confidence and speed for her to feel good about her test. She really can do this, but doesn't believe it yet. Hopefully a practice test will help her see that she does get most of the material and that she can do this!"
