In today's session, the student learned rules for multiplying 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. He did very well and I had him explain to me the rule each time he solved a multiplication problem. Good job! I also told him he's not allowed to say he doesn't know how to multiply anymore. We worked on short and long vowels in his passage reading. We will continue to work on those concepts as he progresses in learning multi-syllable words. I asked the student to practice his reading. I previously sent multiplication cards he can make and study while on vacation. I encouraged him to read signs along the way and to multiply all the fish he will catch. He is a pleasure to teach and is gaining confidence in his abilities.

It looks like the questions she misses are primarily time consuming math questions, so she is doing very well. The primary focus for this last week will thus be on timing issues to make sure she gets through as many questions as possible! As always, I'm available by email should anything arise.
