Tutoring review by John in Mission, KS
Nice follow-up session with the student. We further explored the subjects we examined the day before. We did a full review to help him get ready for a quiz on Thursday and a test on Friday. We worked on crafting a refresher together so that any time he reaches a dead end on the test he has something to return to mentally to jump start the problem.

We covered the student's homework today that spoke of accounting financial ratios. I tried to relate each of the ratios to real world examples. I believe this helped him understand the company he was working on better and how to formulate a better paper. The paper will be better because he now knows what the ratios mean and how to see them vs. the financial strength of the company. I also told him about benchmarking his company to others and comparing year to year results of his ratios.

Tutoring review by Douglas in Mission, KS
This student is one of the brightest kids I have got the honor to tutor. His enjoys learning greatly and he learns well. Today, we covered his previous topics and he passed my quizzes with flying colors. His attitude toward learning new material is very hopeful and optimistic. It's truly a great pleasure to be tutoring him. We found out one weakness though, which is decimals, which we will go over and repair the next time I have an opportunity to see him.

Tutoring review by Aleah in Mission, KS
We covered applications of different equations in real world situations, appreciation/depreciation, exponential growth and decay, and compounding interest formulas. The only difficulty the student faced was plugging everything into the calculator correctly, but this is very common in these types of problems. We did a few problems where I showed the student how to do it, and then she worked on many problems while I made sure they were done correctly.

Tutoring review by Hannah in Mission, KS
In today's session, the student worked on practice problems similar to those that will be on his Calc BC final. This was just last-minute review, mostly on related rates and optimization. He has a good foundation in both of these topics, but does need to be careful when he does problems as he has a tendency to make little mistakes. He needs to review formulas tonight, but once he does that he will be ready for his final.
