Punctuation is no longer an issue, and we will continue working on sophisticated syntax structures. I assigned new vocabulary, as I do every week, and he is going to review all previous vocabulary for a cumulative quiz next week.

They were each to find 5-7 words they did not know in their book and write the sentences. After that, they tried to figure out the definition using context clues then looked up the actual definition. After this exercise we read "The Story of an Hour" and they answered questions about it. We discussed the story and cleared up any confusion about it.
