Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we worked on some of her language homework she had for school. Overall, she is getting more sure of herself on her school work and is doing very well."
"The student reviewed the corrected essay he wrote last week. He also completed a higher level reading test and did very well. We also did a quick vocabulary drill. He's a wonderful student."
"We did basic introductions and talked a lot about her test taking history and what she's working on in school, so I got a really good sense of what we need to work on and what her experience level is with all of the work she's doing. She seemed very observant and was able to tell me a lot about her progress, which was very helpful. After discussing possible structures for our future sessions, we went over the basics of the ISEE and jumped in to verbal reasoning practice questions. For each of the two types of questions in those section (synonyms and sentence completion), we would go over the strategy together with one practice problem, she would do the next on her own while talking me through her thought process, then I would time her on the last problem, since pacing is something she's concerned about. She picked up the strategy very quickly and seemed to find it helpful."
