Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We mostly reviewed for the upcoming test on exponential and logarithmic equations. The student seemed to be confident with the material, and he asked me questions on things he was unsure about. I left him with a little extra homework on story problems since we didn't get to cover them much. He received a 100% on a quiz, which was great to hear."
"We went over slopes of lines and solving systems of equations by using elimination and substitution techniques. We also solved inequalities by graphing and shading the answer based on what the question provided us."
"Today, we prepared for the student's assessment exam. We will have another practice session next week."
"Today, we reviewed the student's quiz and worked on multiplication and division. I discussed with his grandmother the importance of figuring out his curriculum so that we can start working ahead of the curve to improve his math grade."
"We covered area and volume today. I encouraged the student to write his process out, using his notes and the Internet as resources. His homework is to copy and study the formulas."
"I reviewed adding, subtracting, and multiplying fractions, by giving the student a few examples to work through. Then, once I saw she remembered them well, we moved onto dividing fractions and culminating everything in word problems. She needed help a bit in word problems, but we're going to work through more in our next session. I also gave her 9 homework problems to work on, which covers everything I've taught her. All in all, she certainly has a lot of potential."
