Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I covered momentum, dimensional analysis, and forces today. We also covered axioms, properties, and identities in mathematics. The student did well on his homework and even recited all the axioms, properties, and identities without hesitation. It was a solid session."
"We covered several problems concerning work, friction, power, and energy in review for the student's test tomorrow. We also reviewed questions from recent homework she needed clarifications on."
"We did a review of Chapter 4 problems (Newton's laws, forces) for the student's exam Friday. The homework is to continue working through examples and problems from the book."
"We went over the student's pre-lab and lab for today, which was on electrolytic cells. We discussed the setup and how the experiment would run. Her pre-lab questions focused on a page from the book, which we also reviewed. We then went over a tough question on her test, which was on the setup and reaction of a galvanic cell. After that, we started going over her problem set due next Tuesday, which covered equilibrium concepts."
"We went over the titration chemistry lab, fixing a small error with 50 mL vs 5mL. After that and going through the questions, we went over ICE tables and how to approach and work those. We have a session planned tentatively for Tuesday evening."
"We went over two problems sets covering units, stoichiometry, atomic structure, and periodicity. The student was able to remember most of the concepts involved, but she had some difficulty keeping track of the concepts through complex and practical problems. We walked through the more difficult problems and discussed how to put basic concepts together in order to solve complex problems. I assigned the student problems on the aforementioned concepts for review."
