Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered how to convert a quadratic equation in standard form to vertex form. We covered the Gauss-Jordan elimination technique for solving systems of 3 equations with 3 variables. We also covered Linear Programming in Two Dimensions."
"The student and I worked on more Pre-Algebra material extending from yesterday's material on writing algebraic expressions. We worked on function/input-output tables, graphing coordinates and linear functions, and writing functions for word problems. She mastered graphing points and matching input output tables to their graphs. At the end of the lesson, we reviewed more fraction operations."
"The student and I worked through more extrema problems to review for her upcoming quiz today. She was understanding more and more of the material as we went through the problems but there were some that we did not recognize. I know that she will understand the material if she continues to work problems. We will be going through chain rule today since that is a weak spot."
"The student and I studied problems from section 10.5. We plan to meet next Tuesday, then again the following Saturday to review for her first exam."
"We covered area of a triangle and parallelogram today. He did very well with it; he seemed to have a good understanding of it by the end."
"The student has a quiz this week on polynomials consisting of fractions and decimals. As such, we spent the session reviewing problems."
