Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today the student and I reviewed meiosis and mitosis. I talked her through the chapter, and we had discussions about her questions as we went along. Her in-depth questions showed a solid understanding of the basics, and I think talking about the material together helped her gain a deeper understanding. Next time we will review a quiz from her class."
"Today we covered the second half of the student's test preparation for midterm exam. I feel that she is making good progress and should do fine on her final. I taught her how to mentally prepare for an exam by relaxing and getting a good nights rest. After the winter Holiday, she will have a new teacher in this subject and I will continue with once a week sessions."
"We went through different concepts such as different cells, genetic, Punnett square, phenotype, genotype, systems, their function and some organic chemistry. I explained to her the concepts and I let her to answer the questions that she had on her packets. She was able to answer them by herself. She is smart and doing great."
"Today, we went over bond length and VSEPR theory, including electron-pair geometry and molecular geometry. The student was attentive throughout the session and asked questions for clarification. I look forward to working with her soon!"
"Today, we went over crude rates, prevalence, sensitivity, and specificity. The student is understanding pretty well. Our next session, we are going to go over the sensitivity and specificity exercises she has for her class."
"Today, we went over more information on emission spectrum and electron configuration. I taught the student some more advanced material regarding IB Chem HL. We then started topic 3 and 13 (HL), which was more new information for him."
