She did the best in the endocrine system passage, which was not labeled as an advanced passage as compared to the nervous system passage. I instructed her to please review all of the topics we covered today.

We went over last week's concepts by doing relevant questions and a practice MCAT passage. We then reviewed physics II concepts such as work, energy, power, circuits, and light waves. We then did a couple of practice problems to make sure the student was understanding the material thoroughly. Last, we did a practice CAR passage, and he nailed it!

The student is preparing to retake her GMAT. She wants a general overview but is focused primarily on the Verbal. Today, we looked at Critical Reasoning by reviewing the breakdown of question types and discussing the importance of language in evaluating CR questions. We discussed multi-pass answer evaluation, eliminating the clearly out of scope answer choices first and then looking closer at the remaining answer choices. She is going to take a practice test for homework.

The student and I finished reviewing her previous test and started in on her study book, completing two chapters. Our lesson today was a bit freeform, using questions from throughout the guide to try to track down some of her problem areas. This allowed us to discuss a variety of basic math topics. This coming week she's going to do the pretest from her book, 20 questions or so of each of the DS and PS question types, and the algebra and arithmetic chapters of her lesson book.
