How can a tutor assist you in conquering Accounting?

Accounting is a training course that prepares you to keep financial accounts through specific strategies and methods. The earlier courses offer you an introduction to the basic accounting principles and concepts, such as reliability, prudence, materiality, duality, and others. You could learn how to take these principles and apply them to one another in many situations, such as investments, savings, and other financial accounts. In addition, you may need to be familiar with the basic accounting formula, which is what all accounting entries are derived from. Varsity Tutors' educational directors may assist you in connecting with an independent accounting tutor in Memphis, Tennessee, who is adept in guiding students in accounting preparation.

Whether you need ongoing support, preparation prior to advanced accounting, or a refresher of your previous accounting course material, you may take advantage of independent tutoring. The educational directors at Varsity Tutors may identify your needs to connect you with a tutor who may readily serve those needs. There are many tutors available in Memphis who are skilled, professional, and have a track record of supporting students. Your hand-selected tutor is able to teach to your learning style, and has a strong grasp of the content you need to study. You receive a personalized learning plan that ignores anything you are strong in and focuses solely on the content you need to work with.

Session Summaries by Accounting Tutors

Memphis, TN Accounting tutoring
The student and I reviewed several additional discussion questions in the area of economics, specifically focusing on game theory concepts. I reviewed her overall response related to the "chicken" example, and it was well written! She also already had in mind a response to a question related to credibility, and selected an excellent example with good support. In addition, she successfully addressed a zero sum game scenario. We also discussed the strategies corporations will use to avoid a hostile takeover (and she will continue to work on this item in particular because of the length required), and I found several references related to accounting and "signaling" that she will use to complete another discussion question response.

The student and I continued to review for the midterms, focusing mostly on game theory material. He seemed a bit more shaky with this subject. He should review more to get comfortable with his full understanding of the basic concepts, especially Nash Equilibrium. Every professor focuses on that quite a bit at this level. We will continue to go over it in our next session.

The student and I worked through the next chapter in his book today, specifically focusing on isoquant production curves, why the curves are convex, and cost curves. He explored how the changing slope of the isoquant production curve relates to the marginal rate of technical substitution. These concepts will pave the way for Cobb-Douglas production functions as well as the rest of the microeconomic theory of the firm. I had him explain the concepts back to me, and we used real world examples to illustrate the points.

We spent this session reviewing the student's study guide for an upcoming exam. We compared types of markets (free, monopoly, monopsony) and the special characteristics of their respective cost and revenue curves. We also looked at the effects of government intervention, including domestic taxes and import restrictions, and also at the kinds and degrees of price discrimination in markets. After our review, she appeared very comfortable with the material, understood the graphs, and was successfully completing practice exercises.
