Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has a quiz tomorrow covering perpendicular bisectors, angle bisectors, median and altitudes of triangles. She knows the material but will need to continue to look over the topics to be sure she has all the definitions straight. We also spent just a little bit of time reviewing her last test, which she scored an 85. There were a couple that she didn't know how to solve so we went through those in a little more detail."
"We reviewed principles that are often confusing such as conversion, inversion, inductive and deductive reasoning, etc."
"-We discussed isosceles and equilateral triangle theorem. -Completed problems from homework. -Discussed concepts for upcoming class. -Discussed strategy for upcoming quiz"
"The student is taking end of course testing. We discussed how the testing was going and then continued reviewing the algebra 1 material his teacher had given him. The review has been good overall; he knew most of the material, but we have encountered a couple of concepts that needed some clarification."
"I covered with the student the application of the Pythagorean Theorem to find unknown lengths. I also covered calculating areas of different figures and the trigonometric functions of tangent, cotangent, sine, and cosine."
"We continued to practice with triangle congruences and writing proofs around them. It's really heartening to see the groundwork from earlier start to come into play now that there's a clear use for it."
