Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered chapter 6.6 which dealt with material such as finding the roots of trigonometric functions. We went over his homework and covered previous material to ensure he is comfortable with all of the material."
"This session was a test review covering her last chapter. We covered material such as reference angles, trigonometric function values using reference angles, solving triangles using Law of Sines and Law of Cosines. The student should be ready now for her test scheduled on Friday. Session was good."
"Today, the student had a lot of questions about solving problems in 3 dimensions. We talked about how different problems in 3 dimensions get represented and the various challenges. She also had some questions from her chemistry unit about how the shapes of molecules influence their polarity."
"The student is continuing work on sequences and series. Today we did a little more of recursive formulas, but the main focus of the session was on sums of series. We worked on sums of both arithmetic and geometric series. She did quite well with this topic, and I think she understood it pretty well during class."
"We practiced through the introductory aspects of parabolas in hyperbolas, specifically in relation to conic sections. The student understood how parabolas are formed and how to derive its equation and other aspects (e.g. vertices, directrix, etc.). We went through the entirety of several problems in various forms (general equations vs. incomplete information). We finished up with hyperbolic equations and ended with the discussion of how to approach the associated word problems. We will focus on these in our next session. She demonstrated understanding of everything we did along the way; further practice will solidify her knowledge."
"During this session we went over questions on trig concepts. The student seems to have a good grasp of concepts. Overall this session went well."
