"The student has a test this coming Friday, and we specially covered Chapters 4 and 5. Chapter 4 was Predators and Prey: the Coevolutionary Arms Races, and we went over Red Queen Evolution, Predator vs. Cryptic Prey, Crypsis, Camouflage, Mimicry, Masquerade, the Cuckoo vs. Hosts, Aposematism, the Desert Locust' two phases (Solitary and Gregarious), the Evolution of Aposematism, the Monarch Butterfly, Batesian and Mullerian Mimicry, Brood Parasites, Signal Detection, and Reproductive Success concerning the host bird and the Cuckoo (brood parasite). Chapter 5 was Competition for Resources, which included Evolutionary Stable State, Ideal Free Distribution, the Gall aphids Pemphigus betae, economic defendability, and dung beetles and their reproductive success. I made a few review sheets for her, which she found more helpful than her notes."
"Today we went over Avogadro's number, converting Atom->Moles->Mass, calculating molecular masses, and empirical equations. The student also finished up his homework on empirical equations."
"During this session we went over physics. We looked at problems dealing with 1-d motion and free fall questions. Overall this session went well."
