The student and I worked on his algebra homework from chapter 5. We reviewed polynomials including how to combine like terms and how to solve for polynomial functions. Next, we discussed chapter 12 of his biology text involving experiments to determine the genetic material of genes. With the remaining time, I helped him complete his history identifications about the English Enlightenment.

Math Tutoring review by Joseph in Peabody, MA
The student felt pretty confident about his quiz, but he still had more work on the same topics tonight. With less of a time constraint, we were able to look at the Binomial Theorem in greater detail, and he seemed to understand it even better this time.

Math Tutoring review by Richard in Peabody, MA
We started by working on her algebra 2 and trigonometry homework. She was unsure of how to find line equations and vertexes using only a graph, but after learning the process through one or two problems, she seemed to understand the concept. We then went over a chemistry quiz related to finding mass and molecular quantity and solved each of the problems she got wrong. She understands the concepts when explained to her but can do a better job preparing before quizzes and homework -- by reading the textbook or taking good notes in class.

Math Tutoring review by Austin in Peabody, MA
The student and I continued to build on previous topics: concavity, critical points, points of inflections, and increasing and decreasing functions. Together we were able to tackle the homework problems. She seems to have a good grasp of the content, and her class will continue to cover the topics for a while. We also covered material from previous tests, and I think that helped a lot.
