Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session we covered: polyatomic ions, atomic symbols, isotopes, Lewis-structures, concept of moles. We went over the first test he took. There was no extra practice given and I have no concerns from this session."
"This week we reviewed the first exam results. The student realized that she actually knew the material better than she thought. I think her confidence will be better going into the next test and we hope for a move to above average."
"The student showed me some of his recent quizzes and he has gotten 100% on the last two. He is really working hard and meeting the challenge of the honors class. He said he is really happy he stuck with it, and I'm glad to hear that. During this session we covered periodic trends including atomic size and ionization energy. He is asking good questions and keeping up with the material really well. It's been great to see him feeling confident!"
"We covered the student's lab this week. I helped her understand how to make graphs and trend lines with Excel, as well as work with different density and volume equations. She has shown improvement in her mathematics with chemistry."
"Sunday was my first day working with the student. She is very quick to pick up on the tutored subjects. We worked an hour on Algebra 2 and an hour on Chemistry. Her notes are very detailed which was helpful so that she could have an idea of where she needs to work on."
"We introduced inverse trigonometric functions and how to derive them from regular functions. We also began graphing them and comparing them to their original graphs. We ended by studying the inverse composition of trig functions and recounting the unit circle."
