"We covered: Postulates SSS, SAS, AAS and various problems involving triangles, vertical angles, bisects, perpendiculars."
"I worked with the student on detour proofs and transformations for her Geometry test. She needed some extra work before her test."
"The student and I worked through all his homework regarding dilatations and how they can work with other transformations. We'll touch on how to do dilatations from a point other than the origin on Thursday."
"The student did well on his first quiz. We discussed definitions vs. postulate vs. theorem. He had the most trouble with postulate, because the instructor never gave an example of a postulate. We went to the back of the book and looked at a few examples. We discussed converse, inverse, and contrapositive. By the end of the lesson he was gliding through logic proofs mentally applying contrapositive. The final section was on probability. We went over how to systematically enumerate the possibilities for the different scenarios."
"The student worked on this week's homework: CPCTC and circle theorems. He did a nice job on the exam from earlier in the week, as 88 is a solid improvement from the last exam."
"I felt like this was my best session with this student. She was understanding the material much quicker than before, which I believe was attributed to the practice we have previously worked on. By polishing up her basic math skills, the concepts from today were much easier to understand and get through. She even stated that she was starting to enjoy math. This was very encouraging to see that the work we've done the past month has been paying off and that she is really starting to understand everything easier."
