The student and I reviewed her geometry review sheet for her test. The only questions that she really had were on how to complete the proofs and make a flow diagram from a proof. She said that she felt pretty comfortable with the information. She then asked some questions regarding chemistry. After working through a few example problems, she was more comfortable with the chemistry problems. It would be good for her to practice them or review it again to be sure that she could do it without guidance before her test.

At today's session, the student and I covered a lot of ground. He took two quizzes this week. We went over the quizzes and discussed his answers. He has another quiz coming up this week, so we studied for that. We went over oxidation numbers, valence electrons, how different elements combine and achieve their electron "octets," electron configurations, determining whether an element is a proton, neutron, or electron based on its electronic configuration. We also went over assigning oxidation numbers to different elements in a compound, and we studied electron dot structures. I gave him lots of practice questions on these topics.
