The student did a nice job in this session! He retained a good portion of what we talked about last time. I had him answer some questions on the material we covered last time, and we talked about the questions he missed, which gave us the chance to review that content. Then, I had him take a pre-test on Classical Civilizations to make sure we only covered the material he needed to review. He did a nice job on Rome and the Mayan Empire, but needed a bit of review on Greece, India, Persia, and China. After reviewing that material, he was able to go back and correct his answers to the earlier questions. Since we had a bit of time remaining, we practiced outlining information for a comparative question on Rome, Han China, and Gupta India. This gave us a chance to talk a bit more about society and gender, as well. We'll look at the Post-Classical/Medieval period next time.
