Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered phase changes, the first half of the circuit unit, and a quick review of forces. I am leaving the student with a review of algebra."
"Today the student and I reviewed passages for two chapters in her chemistry textbooks. We also reviewed the lecture for electrochemistry. I assigned her homework, including a full length practice exam for next weekend."
"The student and I reviewed optics, waves, simple harmonic motion, limiting reagent, and balancing chemical reactions. We specifically reviewed the two slit experiment, and worked on practice problems relating to thin lenses and mirrors."
"We worked on verbal reasoning and physics. The student made good progress towards her goals. We applied some temporal factors to most of her questions and she fared well. She was left with a group of verbal, thematically based questions."
"Spent the first half discussing the student's personal statement, and then spent the second half going over verbal passages and discussing the importance of effective paragraph summaries and test taking skills."
"The student and I completed random passages from the physical science section of an online learning site. Topics included gases, optics/lenses, kinetic/potential energy, separations and purifications, titrations, and acids and bases. He needed a bit of a refresher in recalling mechanics equations, optics equations, and properties of titrations. He understood this, and we went over the material along the way while we completed these passages."
