Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This session covered the topics of osmosis, diffusion, and cellular signaling cascades in preparation for the student's upcoming quiz and her most recent lab report."
"We continued working on his test prep packet for both concepts and problems. He still needs some guidance in problem solving but is progressing very well."
"We worked on a homework on amino acids. We discussed the differences in charges and pKa of R groups."
"The student is getting ready for her first-semester final exam. We went over a test she had on one-dimensional motion. She is an excellent, excellent physics student and should do very well on her exam."
"The student is getting the link between IM forces and states pretty well. However, something doesn't seem to be clicking with Lewis structures, and how they relate to polarity. We'll continue to work on that in our next session. We could also stand to work more on molecular orbitals. I'll find some practice problems for future sessions."
"The student is highly motivated, and struggles with chemistry. In this first meeting, the main topic was naming inorganic compounds, such as ionic or covalent compounds, binary or ternary, and writing chemical formulas. These were not uncommon problems in early stage of chemistry study. It is important to master those concepts and applications through problem solving and practice. She has enough material and worksheets, and hopefully in the following meetings, clarification of concepts and applications to problem solving as well as test prep will be included."
